While some comedians are losing gigs (D.L. Hughley and David Alan Grier lost their shows earlier this week), others are just signing on to new deals. Namely, Nick Cannon, who just signed a two year contract today to become Honorary Chairman of Nickeloden’s TEENick Network (formerly The N). The rapper, actor, comedian, producer can now add executive to his list of titles; and he will oversee program development as well as act.
From his Twitter account, he linked to this announcement:
I’m runnin thangs!! This was my announcement, I am now the youngest Television Chairman aka CEO in television history! That’s right they gave your boy his own network. I’m getting my Oprah on.
