NY State Tax Collectors Seize Method Man’s 2008 SUV over $50K+ Debt

It used to be that money problems were cause for a public relations embarrassment for celebrities. But with a nosediving American economy sinking into a bottomless abyss, even the financial troubles of the wealthy are becoming less shocking and more frequent. Enter Method Man.

According to the New York Post, last week the WU Tang member had his 2008 Lincoln Navigator seized by New York state tax collectors over a reported debt in excess of $50,000 to the state. The vehicle was reportedly removed from his Staten Island home at 6 a.m. Last Wednesday (March 18.)

Two years ago these headlines would have topped every Hip Hop rag and even made the evening news but with money being what it is today, you can just add Method Man to the end of a very long list. You know they say Nature has a way of fixing itself? Well maybe the recession is her way of getting some of those who need to retire (and stay retired) out the game.
